In your photos: I see some with this face, but with a different body.
Based on serial number, your watch is a 1943. It looks to be a
1943 Westchester.

yes I can see the 43 in the serial number now, thank you. I was basing my date on the inscription, but you are never sure if the watch was made the same year as it was sold. The link is so cool to the other Westchester's lined up. The watch keeps time fine, and has been worn and loved much over the years, so far from pristine condition, and I'm ok with that!
