Dial:butler finish dial with gold applied numbers,sub seconds dial,dauphinegold hands and reads BULOVA

Crown broke off in shipping but is unmarked

The Aviator, Alderman, Norman and Stamford all had the same shape and size bezels and they all use the same crystal. The Stamford didn't have any engraving on the bezel and the Alderman was the same except it had a rose gold bezel. The Aviator had engraving on the lugs only and the Norman had engraving down the sides of the crystal on the bezel and extending onto the lugs.

I'm back to unknown, the subject watch does not match what we have ID'd as Arnold, as well as the ad, nor the ad for Norman.

Looks like an engraved version of the Bulova Paratrooper (ad from 1944)

I would not lean to Paratrooper because of the engraving is not shown in the advert. What was it originally published as?

I suspect this one is a Norman, with variance from ad being artistic license with shadow or lack thereof.
