Watch Description

I quite honestly don't know what to make of this one. It is rose gold with a really "Bulova" looking face in a Star Case with a very "Bulova looking" serial number with slightly offset first numeral. No markings on exterior of stainless back.

The movement is marked with a crescent moon and serial number, suggesting it is a 1928. Case s/n starts with a 3 and is rose gold, suggesting 1943 (when rose gold was popular).

I purchased this one for $15 / free shipping minus a band; I couldn't help myself. Matching color Speidel scissor was installed by me. Running and keeping time.

These style of Bulova watches have always intrigued me. Are they genuine or are they as aftermarket replacement/knockoff?

Unknown rather then non-conforming for me at the moment.

The movement is 1928, the case from the Star Case Company, which we know dis at some point were used by Bulova.

All the parts look like they could have come from Bulova, but the watch as a whole just doesn't seem to match anything Bulova were producing or marketing.

So I'm still intrigued as to the story of these type of watches as it's not the first time we have seen this.

The styling of the watch case is definitely later possibly 1940s.  With the movement being from the 20s I’m gonna have to go with non-conforming.  Still a very attractive watch.

Non-Conforming will be true

I'll go along with 1943 non-conforming. If the movement and case dates were closer, I'd be on the fence leaning towards unknown based on the still fuzzy connection between Star and Bulova.
