My 1st thought would be late 30's Minute Man with a movement swap.

Ditto on Munute Man. Not Lincoln.

Would they have made a '43 or '33 Minute Man, since it has the X on the mvmt?

Also' addressing the swap...do some of the numbers I submitted not jive when put together? Guessing that may mean it was pieced together at some point?

For the numbers- the first digit of case serial number and the X on the movement both say 1943- so those do match or fit together into one possible original combination - at least based on date.

so movement and case were put behind an older watch face possibly?

There seems to be be a bit on a trend for 21J Minute Men......tentative for me.

This is a normal seventeen jewel MM, nothing out of the ordinary, except the case is not stainless.

Sterling base, stainless back is the text inside the case.  Sorry for the typo.
