1943 Bulova "Midshipman" if I'm correct. I've seen earlier advertisements naming it the "Minute Man 'J'" as well, I'm sure it went by either deoending on the year. The ad and watch are both from 1943, hence this is the Midshipman.
It has a really lovely and unique tri-colored dial with Roman numerals.
Again we see the base metal as being stirling silver as we have now and again in this timeframe in Bulovas as it was manufactured during WWII when steel was being used for the war effort.
