Watch Description

I haven't uploaded a watch here for absolutely ages but when I was id'ing it today I thought it would interest some of you who like a bit of nitty-gritty.

17j so should be an Alderman not an Aviator but case is not sterling underneath the rolled gold.

Really love the strip of shiny copper inside the minute track, not seen similar before (probably most of mine are too tarnished but it really lifts the dial and suggests a deliberate 2 tone appearance.

Uploaded from my phone so no idea how to alter the file name sorry but today's date is 21/10/20 or 10/21/20 for most of you

Hope you're all good

Just noticed that the dial is different on the Alderman to the Aviator (the shiny stripe I referred to) so I propose Alderman but possibly throwing doubt on the theory that they were all Gold plated Sterling as suggested on the other '43 models posted

I believe this one is indeed an Alderman, like this one.

1943 Bulova Alderman looks to be a dead on match.  It should be noted that when the War Dept targeted metals for rationing during the war the cases were switched to Sterling Silver.  I think this happened when it was implemented by the US War Dept and was not specific to a model year.  They just made the change mid year in 1943.
