I read an old Westchester thread that mentioned this dial with black painted arabic numbers and blue hands I believe. A 42 Westchester id ID'ed with roman numeral numbers so I'm leaving this one up to you. Didn't see an ad that matched this dial.

I think the case you reference is slightly different in profile between the crystal and case face edge with no angular step line midway, if that makes sense. It's super close, but I think different. Subject watch case appears to be a "one off", not used for any other models besides the Westchester. I may be wrong.
Appears identical to this one, with exception of face variation.

I don't think it is the same case as the watches I referenced. I was just saying this case could be used for different models like those were. I think this is a mens watch like the Westchester, Surgeon, Black Hawk, etc. I am just thinking out loud. I don't know the dimensions of any of them.
Yes looking at the other watch in the DB and it having the sub second I can see it being called a Westchester tenative.

Gotcha, you were making a reference to any number of different models in same/similar cases. After looking for this one and looking at Westchesters, I remembered a thread where Rocket was discussed as a potential ID. I guess with that stuck in my head and then reading your post, I added 2+2 and got 5 :o) If you had referenced "Alderman/Stamford" or anything else as an example my brain would have clicked on the thought process and overridden the clutter in there....
While research the purchase of the one I just remember reading a thread that made mention of black painted numbers vs applied gilt. I can't can't remember which thread or which model but I wound up at the Westchester that the dial appears different than the one in the database
