Watch Description

This watch has no db information but is known as a bulova One Button/stop Chronograph.

The watch is not mine and belongs to a very good friend who is a watchmaker. IT IS NOT FOR SALE.

There is one listed for sale on the bay with a buy it now of almost $700.00

The watch runs and has been timed to better than standards. It is 10K rolled gold plate and has little to no wear on it. If it was worn it was not often and was taken very good care of.

The dial is in surprising condition and has some small spots from ageing but nothing noticeable.

I thought it might be a good one to put in the db since it appears to be quite rare.

Looks like it to me. Great find and nice watch.

Thanks for the close up of the ad. The second difference noticeable is that the medico has a solid chapter ring where as the chrono has a 60 second marker. The one example in the "Complete Price Guide To Watches" simply identifies it as "one button chronograph 1/5 sec"

Does anyone here know where one or two of the crowns can be obtained?

I am in the process of getting one of these restored and that is the one piece I have not been able to source yet.

I think we are seeing 3 different Chrono variants here as are all different in a number of ways.

My feeling is that the subject watch would be more for medical use than for military.

I will see if my benefactor can help there.

I will let you know.

Generic Chrono for now...time will tell, no doubt the Medico had a lumed dial as seen on most all of the military era & themed watches...another mystery to solve...

What ever it is John, it a nice find.

'CHRONOGRAPH' is My vote as I think We have shown this Model is not the 'MEDICO'.

Now I gotta go relook at Fifth's currently ID'ed Medico which I thought was better described as generic Chronograph based on lugs...LOL  Same movement calibre in Fifths "Medico" under review, and the button in vs button out is a good observation.

I'm kinda unknown on this one for now, but could change my mind based on discussion.

EDIT:  I meant generic Chronograph- not Unknown...
