Watch Description

Anyone recognize this watch, it has an asterisk so I am assuming it might be 1941? also cannot find a case

number that matches, I know its gold filled, ladies, but Im stuck, it is a 17 jewel 7M movement

Hi Shelley,  I believe your watch is a Priscilla like this one https://mybulova.com/watches/1939-priscilla-9873.  The case number will be unique to each watch.  I would date this watch as 1942 by the case serial number with a 1941 movement.  It is not uncommon for the movement and case to be a year between.  Nice example.  This ad is from 1941.

Hi Shelly, thanks for sharing. The asterisk on the movement indicates 1941. The case serial number starting with a "2" indicates the watch was assembled in 1942. This isn't unusual and we see a year difference between movement and case quit often,
