This is what appears to be a 1941 Nighthawk. It as a 10K yellow rolled gold plate case at 26mm and 14mm lugs. The back is stainless steel. The black dial has beautifully patina'd radium painted hour markers with matching patina'd radium hands and gold painted sub second register with gold hands. Bulova and the minute track are gold painted and the hours are beautifully accented with yellow gold paint. The movement is a 10AX with a * date code. Other than a slightly bent lug this is a near perfect orginal watch although the crown is not marked so it might have been replaced. I haven't serviced it yet but its running fairly well.

Yes I would agree with Nighthawk. Like this one in the DB https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1941-nighthawk-6299 and this ad https://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/Bulova-1941-ad-4.jpg
