Watch Description

1940 Bulova Unknown (I think this is a "Dean" model but would like a second or third Opinion)

15J 10AX  with the Omega symbol on the movement clean Original Dial with Gold Markers and Blued hands. 10K RGP Bezel & Stainless Back. Nice Kreisler 10k Gold Filld Band. 4X signed.

I have a 1942 "Dean" Posted in the database and it looks just like this one with the exception of the Engraved Bezel, and Blued hands. The Sub-seconds on this one are slightly different also. I could not find any "Dean's" in the ad database with engraved bezels. Any Ideas?

Nice looking watch that runs well.

The Jury is in! It is now a "Dean" until proven otherwise.

* Photo update 11-13-11

** 12-24-11 New ID confirmed by 1941 ad found by the Plainsman! Looks like I need to find the correct hands.

I concur Ticker.... you have the 1940 Dean here as per the 1940 ad

The Engraving is what is different, just was wondering if Bulova dressed it up and called it something different else?

Not that I've found anywhere... that case is identical except for the scrolling.  I'm not saying it's not unlikely though!  heh...

You know Plains,

Take a look at this 1942 ad The Arnold and Norman also look a lot like it...

I'd have to concur with Plains, the Norman and Arnold don't have the steps down the sides like the Deam, a;though this one has side engravings, Possibly a Dean variant....ie Dean 'A'

Thanks Stephen,

2 Votes for "Dean" one more and I will update it until proven otherwise....
