I checked the dimensions and they are smaller than this one, I do have one that size without the engravings

Case 41.1mm x 25.7mm  * measurement without removing crown and bracelet but not including them.

Crystals larger also, 24mm x 18mm   I was able to measure it while it was out.

I can give a picture of the two side by side.

I looked at the pictures of the other two you referenced and mine are just the oppisite, the engraved is the larger of the two.

I have looked at a 40 Ambassador and the dimensions are the same without engravings .

So it makes me wonder if it's a-Lone Ambassador. lol

I would say it's a 1940 Lone Eagle

I have the 41 lone eagle w/out the engraving however it's considerably smaller then this one.  It's the size combined with the engraving throwing me off.

It looks like the Ambassador (D) with the original band shown in this 1939 ad.

It sure does   I've been in doubt about the Lone eagle Just because of this watch's size,  it's much larger than the 41 Lone eagle I have

I'm changing my vote, I think Alan and Michael are right, I think this is the Ambassador D.
