Can't read a movement number... I *really* need a loupe!

Possibly 1940 Juliette model.

Two tone, with diamonds.

Marked Bulova on case, crown, pin, movement.

10K rolled gold marked on case. Came in velvet case.

Where are you getting the 1940 date from?? Does the movement have a symbol on it to help in dating it? If we go by case serial number the watch is a 1937 or 1947.

Not the Juliette in this 1937 ad snippet (below left) or 1941 ad snippet (below right). Click graphics for full ads.

However there's this 1949 (spanish) ad snippet for Juliet -slightly different spelling.
 

There a 1953 newspaper ad for 17 jewel (solid gold/diamonds?) Juliet here: http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/53-bulova-ad-1953-9.jpg
but it's much later, and it's not a match either. Not finding any Juliette or Juliet examples in watch database.

Nothing that's a really good match so far. Could be either the MW or Juliette, but both are ceratinly differ from the subject watch.

Unknown for now, but I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough what it is.
