Watch Description

There has been a lot of discussion about this model.  The case is a 1936 Bulova 'Commander' model but the dial is the same as a 1935 Bulova 'Hancock' but the movement is from 1936.  I think it could be a 'Commander' with a previously unreported dial. The watch also looks exactly like the 1934 Bulova 'Cavalier' in your database. But there are no ads to support any of these models from 1936 so the watch could end up being an 'Unknown'.  The watch overall is in excellent shape with a period correct bracelet. It is missing the seconds hand. The watch winds, sets & runs. Inside the case reads: BULOVA - FIFTH AVE - NEW YORK - The back of the case reads: B-10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE - 6401354

This one has me waffling between Goldcraft and Commander.  We have this unengraved case and this stick dial in ads as a Goldcraft.   I am inclined to think this likely a Goldcraft that came in an engraved version.

We have this watch in the dB as Unknown. We went through all the possibilities and still had no consensus.....

May be both watches are Goldcraft, but problem is ungraving a movement

I tend to another Unknown

I missed the jewel count difference.   Unknown for now.

As per previous discussions; it's an unknown for now. Sorry.

Panel, are we ID'ing this based on the engraved case?
