Watch Description

Bezel is verticaly engraved all the way down to end of lugs. Raised gilt hash marks for numerals and black tracks. Case is shaped like the American Clippers but not as long. Tracks follow the shape of case. Case back is marked Bulova O and is gold plated and is hinged. Missing hands but sub sec hand is there and tells me watch is running. I think it may have had stick hands but am not sure. As always watch has been cleaned and oiled. Once it has been identified I will know what type of hands to put on it.

Unknown. I'm not seeing "steps" in the Commander ad nor the Hancock ad.

Five unknown votes to date.  If one more person votes "unknown" this watch is entered as unknown by majority six of 12 panel members.
If every panel member who has not voted to date voted w/ the minority of 2 for Commander, this watch would be entered as Commander by six votes as such.
If just one of the four panel members who has not voted to date votes for anything other than Commander, this watch will be entered as unknown based on the existing 5 unknown votes.

If still unsure then a vote of 'unknown' is warranted.

Let's put this one to bed so we can move on.

Since admin has indicated I may vote for the subject watch, my vote is Commander.

So Commander is still in the running.  Again if anyone who hasn't voted does so for any model name other than Commander, the numbers indicate "unknown"  :)

I should change that to tentative Commander due to the dial variance. I don't know if we will ever solve the riddle of dial variances but if we do then I will change to a verified Commander.

No worries JP.  Once the watch is published as a "known" model, panel members use ticks to state their assessments as to unconfirmed one tick, tentative two ticks, or confirmed three ticks.  If this watch is published as a Commander, I'd also give two ticks no problem.

Upon further thought I change my vote to unknown at this time.

The Dial style is seen and found in several, if not many models of this era and therefore can't be a determing factor.

Well that's enough votes for unknown.  The minority have a rebuttal or any other comments?
