Watch Description

Movement marked 15 jewels, adjusted. Case marked Bulova- triangle symbol- 10K Rolled Gold Plate.  Case appears white gold plate. no markings inside except for 4 jeweler's service markings, look to be same jeweler. Not currently running, wound tight,   balance&hairspring seem good,  pretty nice case, hands and dial, I believe. Browsed ad database, but didn't see anything similar.

1935 Trident.  The "contest" watch.  Now we have one for the database :}

Agree, Trident, cool watch Gary. I typically judge the condition of a vintage watch by the lack of wear to the crown. Four service marks, same 'maker, very little wear to the crown, case in remarkable condition. I'd say it's in very good condtion. Someone took care of this one. I love the nail for a pin (or is it really a stick pin?). Wish I could find a cache of those old pins........new ones just don't cut it.

I bought a group of 6 for parts or repair watches from eBay, minimal pics and description. This was part of the group. Glad you guys like it.

NOT the Trident.

The newest Trident ad is from 1934.

This ad is from 1935, in the regular ad DB.

"ALDEN", in white and natural gold. We have another 1935 ad too, in colour.

Anyone for "seconds"? : )

The ads sure suggest this is the Alden by 1935.  Here's the color and Black/White snippet of the 1935 ads next to subject watch. 1933 Trident ad snippet below other ads.

Is the Trident a little more "square" than the Alden?  We have crystal specs for subject watch indicating it's not quite square:

After recent discussions in the new LE thread, I looked at all the ads and the same case seems to be used for the LE, Trident, Alden and then the Chancellor.
Crystal details, anyone? : )
