President, with movement change. Not so hard to believe, movements get damaged beyond repair sometimes, water ingress for one.

I am still at Unknown, MM had the side curves, Presidents were engraved.

We have that one unengraved President ad from this period.  Was it "President C"??  The ad may be back in this thread somewhere.

Jim. What might help in the ID process for this watch is a direct front on photo.

Two things make this a President for me, the straight sides (to be confirmed in a front on photo) and 21J movement. MMs had a slight curve to the side walls and were 17J movements.

Following the KISS principle.

Potential advert candidates for non-engraved Presidents. Dates not factored in just trying to establish if such a beast existed.

Gents, Take note of the movement opening in the caseback. It is cut for a 7AP and the gaps can clearly be seen around the 7AK. I'm certain that this movment is not original. I'm all in as Pres or Non Conforming due to the movement swap..

Great spot Shawn, showing your area of expertise!

Will, looks like you are right too, someone shoehorned a later movement in it.

So now what do we call it?  Sounds/looks like a non-engraved Pres case of unknow variant with a non-PointOfSale movement.

It is curved  i will shoot more pictures of the case. No this movement fits right in this case. It fits like it was made for it
