I just went further in investigating this theory, and I think it's a dead end. I came up with a illustration of the crystal called out as for the "Auto Watch C", and it obviously isn't a match to subject watch.

When I found this watch it had a yellowed crustal ( which  I kept ) but asked a local watch repair shop to make me another crystal so it would be easier to see the movement. Because of the age the yellow crystal may also not be the original crystal and your crystal was as it is supposed to be .certainly a possibility.  Best. Ed
