Watch Description

This is an interesting one I picked up recently.   My gut is telling me it is a 1934 Bulova Maxim based on this 1932 ad.  It is a white gold plated hinged case which has a broken hinge and is in two pieces.   The case serial number indicates a 1934 model.   The movement is a 10AN 15J with an omega 1930 or 1940 date code.  I believe the dial to be original and assume that the dial differs from the 1932 ad due to modernizing the dial on the later year models.  The crown is clearly a replacement.   We have only one other example in the db which is a black dial two tone.  So I am thinking 1934 Bulova Maxim with a replaced movement. Other example in the db. https://mybulova.com/watches/1932-unknown-5823?page=0

Here is another 1932 ad showing a clearer image.

Sorry Jim, I can't go with Maxim for this one, the dial is completely different from the adverts. I'm still looking but am leaning Unknown for this one too

Here is another example of this watch online.  Same watch same dial.  Supports this was a factory model.  Now to find the ad with this dial. Maxim

Plainsman. Yup that sure looks like it to me.  Here is an ad for an unengraved ranger showing that the Ranger did in fact come in white and yellow gold filled.

Yeah right in that mid 30's range many of the Bulovas were offered in white, yellow, and two-toned... both scrolled and unscrolled bezels.  All with the same name.

I think Ranger looks like a nice match.
