After viewing the linked watch admin posted I think this was probably a medical watch in it's time.  Hopefully an ad will be found one day but for now I am not finding a match.

Hi,

Why a medical watch ? How do you see that ?

PS : Have you seen the yellow glass too ?

Hi Ben,  Based on this watch in the database www.mybulova.com/watches/1935-unknown-6124

It has the same movement as your watch which had a center sweeping hand.  It is possible your watch is missing the seconds hand.  Also your dial is pretty worn and could be missing the seconds hand track.  It is just speculation.  In the 30's a watch with a sweeping seconds hand might have been a doctor's watch.

Your crystal is probably acrylic which can yellow.

I agree with Kathy, watches of this period with a center sweep hand were often related to medical usage. Your watch movement had at some point a center sweep hand and another gear that sat atop the movement that drove the second hand.

The dial would also have had an outer minute track with numbers 5, 10, 15 .... 60.

Been looking for a couple days now, and have to agree with Kathy and Stephen. This imay be a medical related watch based on apparently missing sweep second hand and dial stripped of original finish that would have originally had a seconds track either inside or outside of face numbers.

I'm a little confused by the serial number on case that would seem to indicate a date of 1937. It's also seems odd that the arrangement of numbers on face don't match the shape of the bezel opening/crystal. I am at

Unknown, but still looking
