Watch Description

The watch has a hinged bezel and the inside of the back has Bulova Quality with a B below that and a number 3204891 stamped into it. Gold filled top and SS back on bracelet. I have searched through the ads from 1930 to 1946 and could find nothing on this watch or any mention of a hinged case bezel. The watch runs and keeps very good time and I have not cleaned it yet. The X throws me off since it could be a 1933 or a 1943. I think the case was one of the ones that First speaks of that was made outside of Bulova before they started making their own but not sure. Back of case back is gold also. No mention of 10k RGP or Gold Filled any where on the case.

Thanks guys. The hinged case threw me and I probably looked right at the  oakley and just glossed over it thinking about the hinged case.  First, was I right about the case being  made for Bulova??

Took crystal out for photos as is recommended by others on the site. Yes the dial is in excellent shape as is the case. Watch keep good time only gaining a minute a day . Crystal has very minor marks that have pretty much buffed out.

John  There's the inside case SN (in photo and additional comments) and a second/different case SN entered in case SN field.  Is this one of those watches with different case SN's on inside and outside?

Yes. The 555 number is stamped into the case back on the outside and the other number is stamped on case back inside.

In the event of two case SN's, I think the internal one is the one to use for dating the case.
