Gerald,

The dial on this watch has never been refinished, it is untouched, the question is does it belong in this case?

Yes I know your comparing it to the add and a refinished dial. (Why do I bother?) Have fun boys.

heh,

They're listening, just not paying attention.

No one can say with 100% certainty if this Dial came in this Case or it did not, but all visible indicators say that it did.

IMO

It looks like the movement has a serial number...maybe Admin. can figure out a date with his serial number data?

Dials can become corroded, scratched, damaged, etc. for any number of reasons that have little to do with simply the passing of time. I have had dials redone for customers' watches that were only 5 years old. This dial could have been swapped out at any time in its history... even very early on.

When placed directly next to one another the Dial numerals and the Minutes register both follow the contour of the Bezel perfectly.

The reddish shape created from the inner minutes track, was proportionally enlarged and made green to show its contour compared to the contour of the case in question... not a perfect macth by any stretch.

IMO, the green shape created is the shape of the case this dial was intended for.

Jeff,

Theoretically I understand what You are trying to convey, but We are forgetting the shape of the Case the Dial is in.

There's no way this Dial would fit into a Case the shape of the Green highlighted area in the image above. - Physically, the Dial is too wide and I cannot think of another Case of this era this width, besides the 'BANKER'.

The enhanced image I have shown in My prior post is 1 to 1.

Totally agree with this comment. I thin Fifth's got another "FB or non conformer".
