Watch Description

I thought I'd list this to add to the database.  The movement list only shows 17 jewels for the 9AF movement. This one has 21 jewels, as well as 6 adjusments.  Watchophilia has what appears to be the same case, with a 9AF 17 jewels movement listed in 1931 as "unknown", so I'm guessing that will be the result here as well...  Neat watch, and I really like the two tones...  It was running fast, so I took it to my watch guy yesterday for a cleaning. Can't wait to get it back to wear...

Yes, of course I should have listed it as 1931 given the case number...   I don't know why it also came us as 1929 on the listing heading, but I assume all of that gets straightened out when it gets posted (i.e. 1931 Unknown).

It might have been running fast because the regulator is set to fast in the photos.

Ver nice watch and well worth getting an ID for.

What's the movement serial number? It's possible that the movement is actually a replacement from 1940.

Were 9AF movements made in 1940? The movement list says 1930-31, which is consistant with the omega symbol and the case number.  Anyway, I got it back from my watch guy yesterday and am wearing it today. The number on the movement is 469052.

BTW, I remember a previous discussion about a watch I posted with a 10AN movement and the panel educated me about the fact that only 10ANs from up to the early 30s had serial numbers.  Did Bulova stop putting serial numbers on all of their movements after the early 30s?

I have a 1930 similar to this with a 17 jewel 9AF.  I think the serial number on the subject movement is in agreement with the 1930 Omega.

Unknown from me.  A beauty.

This is a very nice watch. It seems like we should have an ID but I can't find anything either.
