Watch Description

Ladies watch, 6AF movement. Inside the case back says: Bulova Quality - Pat. June 10 1924 - 1156806. Possibly chrome plated, filagree expansion bracelet. Three Green stones above and beow the watch dial, green stones set below the lug clasp as well.  I can't see the movement symbol from under the dust glass.

I am on the fence. Of the 3 ads Kathy linked above, the top and lower right could possibly show the Faux cut corner, most evident at the dial "7" position in drawings. Those 2 ads seem to show more of a straight line from dial corner to lug.

I could go either way.

1931 Miss Liberty tentative or

1931 Unknown.

Either/or, it's a beautiful watch indeed. I'm leaning towards "ML" but will go with panel concensus.

I´am for Unknown, case does not match shape Miss Liberty

For consistency sake I suppose Unknown is the best vote without a clear ad for this case shape.  The ad I found is probably just a poor artist rendering.

My personal opinion is that it is a Miss Liberty.  Wouldn't it be great if we could find out why in 1931 there were some Miss Libertys with this case and some Miss Americas with the Miss Liberty case.  It would seem there was a case mix up but we will probably never know and it is just a logical guess and speculation.

I found a new Bulova as which states:

The new "Miss Liberty"  which could mean the changing of the case design.                        ( Although a bad drawing of watch)

The Courier-News, Bridgewater, NJ.  December 6, 1929

However, I agree with Alex, as an Unknown until we get s better ad.

The Miss LIberty was actually introduced in 1929, so I suspect that this is referring to the version we all know and love.
