Wow... I have never seen one of these President's in a two tone before. I gasped when Is saw it at auction. It needs a good bath but what a stunner! Original two tone bracelet is intact and in resonably good shape. This is about as rare as they come. The dust cover was intact on this, and it sure did a number on the movement. Though its sporting a 21 Jewel 9AF. Which we know were producted from 29-31. Hrmmm... the ads we have show a 17 Jewel movement.I took a dozen pictures of all angles and blew them all up and I can not find a date stamp on this movement. Beautiful watch...
1931 Ad
As I whittle down my collection (eventually they get sold), I often wonder which ones will be the last to go. This one would be close to the top of my list. I bet we have 200 Bulova Presidents in the dB but I can't remember ever seeing this one. Amazing find!
1931 Bulova President
Found this Unknown entry that is very similar to the watch in question.

Me as well. Stephen, the one you reference appears to be the same as subject watch, including jewel count of 21. Now the question is are they both Presidents and the ad is an error, or are they both something else yet to be ID'ed?
My guess would be the ad is a misprint unless there are other ads in the DB stating 17J for this case configuration; as well as at least one other unknown with 17J. Two tone case is ornate and quite special, one would think that amount of detail would have warranted a 21J movement.
