Case isn't Bulova. It's a replacement case made by a third party supplier. All factory non-solid gold Bulova cases are marked as such, or will have a Swiss hallmark on the inside of the back if an international . The diamond hallmark on the exterior is a maker mark not associated with Bulova. This seems to indicate this is either a jeweler assembled watch from parts, either for resale or as a repair for a customer, likely using the movement from a Bulova. I also agree that by style it is most likely dated 1940's - 1950's.

Seeing a photo of the movement and movement date code will be very beneficial once you have the watch in your hand.

Face is an unknown, it could be from an international model; or could be the face supplied with the case.

Based on current available info, watch appears to be a Non-conforming combination of Bulova and non-Bulova parts..

Based on the non-Bulova case I believe this ultimately should be classified a Non-Conforming model.
