This is a Bulova Ladies two-toned (Yellow and White Gold Filled) watch. There are  two (2) Date Codes stamped on the movement as seen in the photo.  1. Pencil 1931 2.  Omega 1930  Never seen a movement with a stamped double date code.  I beleive this watch is:  1931 HORTENSE

1931 Hortense she is; and a first for the Db in this case configuration. Double date stamp is thought to indicate the movement was (in this case) produced in late 1930 and rolled over into a 1931 production watch, as indicated by case serial number.

Welcome to the party Hortense! Feel free to mingle with the other guests. I would however, advise avoiding the Directors and Senators.......;o)

Dear TexasLady, the watch is indeed the Hortense. It was the only dual colour ladies watch at that time while in the gents watches Bulova had already introduced dual comourbin 1929. Double date codes on movements you don’t see often but is not uncommon either.

I love this style. I see the words 'Art Deco' incorrectly bandied about in so many places that it's refreshing to see what I think is a genuine expression of the form.
