I get to go look around a bit for this one.  I remember discussion about two-tone vs all white, and dress dial of your watch vs radium dial in a couple Gladiator ads..but you've probably already done that :)

In the full ad used, there are two watches (Sky King & Kirkwood) pictured with two-tone graphics, so they could have shown the Gladiator as two-tone in that ad.

Here's another (blurry) ad below. Can't make out the text.  http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/1930-AD9-(Sept-27).jpg

And another two-tick Gladiator w/ discussion about several points in ID.  Note the engraving on this other watch is slightly different than engraving on subject watch. (flowers vx fish - or some such descriptors).

...but in the end...I'm probably gonna vote tentative Gladiator since we don't have another ad suggesting these minor differences may be ID'ed as anything else....

This is a fabulous watch, I love it! It does however present a certain challenge for us. We currently have three Gladiators in the dB and they're each different. This watch does not match the ad, in fact it doesn't match any of the three we already have.. The engraving is completely different as well as the dial, although I could overlook the dial if the engraved pattern matched. Interestingly enough, one of the three matches this pattern but is all white - not two tone.

I'll do more research tomorrow, for now it's Unknown (but I still want it!)

I'll go two tix, as it's the nearest match we got.

Nice watch J.

Tentative Bulova Gladiator for me as well as it the only thing that's a close match to the case design.

Very similar to my watch.  Same engraving on case, two tone.  Dial is a different style.

I just posted today.  Currently listed as "Unknown".  I would believe it is a Gladiator like yours.
