Watch Description

I'm so very excited about this watch because this is the 3rd version of the Miss Liberty and now I have all three versions of the Miss Liberty in sapphires.  The Dial minute track matches the ad perfectly, and has the cut corner tonneau shaped case. The case is 14K White Gold Filled. The middle sapphire is in the reversed position as the ad, and three needs replacement with a new sapphire crown and installing a 15 jewel movement to confirm to the correct Bulova standards. Thank goodness I have all the pieces needed to bring this little Gem back to life.

I'm still not sure that the adverts are correct. The watch shown does not match the subject watch. The advert rendering is just too different for me. I highly suspect that the person putting the advert together got the name or image wrong. Again it wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

Panel your thoughts please.

I'm happy to add this as a tentative ID of Miss Liberty to progress it into the database, but would really like to see a better advert that actually shows the correct matching details.

It's fine, Stephen if you feel that this third ad isn't enough evidence to show it is the 3rd version of the Miss Liberty.  Leave it as an Unknown, however I am confident that the 3 different ads from 3 different states and 3 different jewelers is sufficient.

I will not be searching for any more ads because I am that confident that my watch is the Miss Liberty until someone shows evidence/ad to prove otherwise.

Too much variance in the ads, with some not calling out the stones. Sorry, but I have to go with unknown for now.

I'm still a firm believer that the adverts are incorrect. There would seem to be some confussion with the 6 sapphires, be they in the case or bracelet.

Here is a wonderful example of how simple it was to get an advert wrong back in 1930.

1930 Bulova advert mistake example

I'm not trying to take anything away from the subject watch. Like all watches I do hope that we can ID it correctly, but I do not believe at this time that the adverts presented are sufficient to confirm a 3rd variant of a Miss Liberty.

Yes, Stephen,I am fully aware of mistakes in adverts for both Newspapers and the Saturday Evening Post. These are a sample:

TL can you please confirm the case is indeed a Bulova by posting a photo of the inside stamping.

I don't have a photo of the inside of case but the case is stamped as follows:
