Update 10/10/2015 - Ownership transfer - Photos Updated 5/15/2023

Here's a family photo of my Sky King collection:

Following are the original comments as entered by brother plainsman: Well ladies and gents, I haven't been as excited for a watch to arrive as this one in a looooong while. When I saw it I about choked.... everything looks absolutely legit to me.  Case and movement match. I have no idea if this was a "prototype" Sky King or maybe they made a super short run and this is the first one we've seen. Original matching two tone MAXIM bracelet.  It almost seems NOS.... or sock drawer candidate. I believe we've got here a (wait for it....) ULTRA RARE!!  Bulova wandering seconds Sky King! ]

Not sure what that means. She's the only sister I have.

I didn't get it for what the end of that auction says... I had accidentially jacked up the auctions by sniping 2x... essentially I outbid myself. =(  Otherwise I would have had it for the 138...

After calling the seller... conversating a bit and negotiating, I ended up getting it for about half that final bid.  That being said... someone (one of our guys?) was whispering in her ear telling her all about it and how it was super rare and shouldn't go for less than X amount.  It was frustrating.  She originally didn't even have it listed as a "Sky King", but someone was a babbermouth.
