I took a shot on a BIN auction as I thought the case looked familiar. I'm not seeing Bulova stampimg, but it does seem to be 14K & Platinum so... for $39 bucks I think I did okay?
Ah, a very interesting watch but probably non-conforming or shall we say, very difficult to prove this is originally supplied by Bulova by lack of an ad. The case is from MP and can be placed around 1923-1924. They did supply Bulova with some solid gold cases around 1922-early 1923, albeit in 18K, the 6718 being an example, but were quickly replaced by Bruner and American Standard. The movement is clearly a replacement from 1930, so definitively not original to the case, also visible in the different white gold colour of the crown, being bright blueish white while the case uses what I call the “old” colour gold which is more greyish. Super interesting watch, a bargain in price, but I would go for “likely non-confirming” as to to add a variant to “obvious non-conforming”.
Are they gem mounts on the sides of the bezel?
Agree with both Alex and Geoff. The case doesn't look Bulova'ish and not a match for the crown, which looks plated.
Still finding a solid gold and platinum watch case is always a bonus.
Non-conforming.....until proven otherwise.

Solid gold and platinum cases always present a bit of a curve ball- Bulova sourced them from unusual makers. That said, I have to agree that this case and this movt do not belong together, even just going by the central dial engraving shape.
Bulova did do White Gold with Platinum embellished cases and diamonds, I have one myself. However, I agree this is non-conforming.
