My two concerns with this ID, is that every add I have seen for Trojan and conquerors consistently have the corners void of engravings. But every add of a cyrano has engravings through the corners. Even as an illustrator I admit that liberties are taken. But usually not omitted. I can believe that the illustrator misjudged the distance of the dial to the case, but not that they would leave out the corner detail. Especially so consistently. Has anyone spotted a variance of this kind for this watch. secondly I agree with Will that on the engraved watches of this period and earlier bulova did seem to carve out the areas to pool the enamel. All of my enameled watches have this without exception. Does anyone have a painted example as suggested to help us.

Maybe a strong light would "see through" the enamel on a Cyrano, and tell that way if it is carved?

Thanks for the back up on the  "F" mark Richard.
