Watch Description

Watch has a dial that reminds me of an Academy Award because of the stripes.  The case is both silver and gold.  Etching around the case front and sides. The only words on the back are "open". Case is hinged.  I tried to match with other 1929 models but did not see the same minute dial (most had numbers, this one just has markers).

Any help would be appreciated.  If I can get it identified I would be interested in selling it.  It runs strong. Winding stem is a bit loose.

Oh I forgot, the dial has raised gold number markers. Most I see have painted markers.

Can you please send [email protected] a clear photo of the front of the watch.

I'm believe that your watch might be a 1931 Bulova Apollo, but need better phots to confirm.

The case on this watch is definitely Apollo, like THIS one. The dial does not appear original to the case as the numerals are not evenly spaced around the bezel, it seems they're too far away on the top and  bottom and to far out on the sides.

I would tag this as a 1929 Bulova Apollo with a replacement dial.

This is an Apollo. Would be great to have a picture of the movement.
