Preliminary diagnosis would be 1928 Surrey.
Bulova American Standard 14 K white gold filled case. Patent date looks to me like 1924. The serial number and the movement date code both appear to be 1928. The watch runs and keeps time. The 10AN 15 jewel movement is consistent with the other Surrey examples on the site.
I relumed the hands but otherwise the watch is as I received it.

Nice watch! I agree 1928 Surrey.
I'm like you, Tom. The perfect ones are nice but it isn't my collecting priority. I almost prefer a solid unrestored watch that shows some age. You can wear and really enjoy them and not be paranoid about "inflicting the first scratch". Mine is for the most part a gently to moderately used working collection as opposed to a showpiece one, if that makes sense.
Very nice match for a 1928 Bulova Surrey.
I'm one of those guys that likes to wear my watches. They all get some writst time and it makes wearing them all the more special. I'm just waiting for that right occassion to pull out the three piece suit so I can wear my pocket watch :-)
