Watch Description

I want to believe this is a 1929 Templar but with a unique and very interesting movement. The movement is an 8AN with both a triangle and arrow date stamp. How interesting is it that this 8AN has the same triangle and arrow stamp that the 10AN movements have that are found on the Lone Eagle models? If anyone has any ideas on what this means, please share.

Hard to tell the meanng of the date stamps, not sure we've seen this anomoly before. I don't think the model is Templar, the lugs are quite a bit diffrent. Here's a Templar

I haven't found an advert match, it's very similar to this Unknown

I'm not having any luck on thei one, other than it's a beauty.

1929 Unknown for now.

The movement serial is also quite low. I'd expext to see a 6 digit number.

Can you take another photo of the movement that better shows the day stamps.

I've emailed Nick for updated photos, I'm rethinking this one and leaning back to Templar. Film at 11.

I just uploaded three new photos that Nick sent me including a couple clear shots of the date code(s?) and lug detail.

First of all I believe this is a Templar model now that I see the lug. I should also note the distinctive case size difference between this model and the one I linked above. No question for me, it's a Templar.

I cannot however explain the movement stamps. I wonder if the movement is original as it's 1926 coded and the crown is a replacement but we'll most likely never know so I won't speculate.

Well done, I'm going to agree. I wonder if this (triangle/arrow) was a dating anomaly specific to  1927?
