Family heirloom.

Very nice example of a 1926 Bulova Ramona

Are you looking for a new crystal?

No it all works. I just got it from a local jewelry shop and they cleaned it up and got it to work. I have another Bulova(President E) rose gold, but am trying to upload this one first. Will have more photos of the Ramona when I get the time to upload them.

A wonderful heirloom / family keepsake to be sure! Thanks for sharing it.

1926 Ramona looks to be a match

You may be able to figure it out yourself by process of elimination based on the ages of your Mother, Grandmother, Great and  G Great Grandmothers. If born how old they would have been in 1926 and what were their possible  financial situations just prior to the Great Depression. Was 1926 a significant year for either? Wedding, graduation, milestone birthday or anniversary, etc? It's not a foolproof way, but would be a fun research project and might at least narrow it down.

You’re welcome! Thanks! Yes a Ramona! I even found old advertisements on this site! Very cool! I will research more throughly about who’s it was and try to piece together a history of it. I’m trying to gather as much info. as I can for when I can pass it down to the younger generation in my family.

Dear Lisamarie, the watch is a Ramona. Very nice. Can you double check the movement serial number? Probably you missed out on the first digit, a 1, that might be covered by the metal frame of the dusttite protector, the plastic covering the movement to protect it from dust ingress. The number is probably 133905. Thank you!

Hi Alex,

Thanks! The watch works also. I just got it cleaned and working from a local jeweler I go to. Yes it has a dusttite protector and you’re right! I just looked again with my jewelers loop and there is a 1 there. So yes the serial # is 133905! I will try to upload more detailed photos. Just got up and having my morning coffee. Will have those by today or tomorrow. Thank you for your reply!
