The only/main reason this a Conqueror vs Lone Eagle the 10AP movement.  The "second date symbol" - the arrow in root pictures and discussed by Fifth earlier in thread- indicates 1937.   Or is this symbol similar to the "arrow" seen on 10AN movements which fit the first 5000 pattern? Stephen notes this arrow as a first 5000 defining characteristic in LE watch record here: http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1927-lone-eagle-2938

The 10 AP is a 10.5 ligne Le Phare. This is possibly a rare example for Bulova. Le Phare made few movt designs compared to the other major companies, (Bestfit lists 4) but I happen to know there are more than that. Le Phares I run across are usually chronographs or repeaters.

Unfortunately, I don't have the production date for the Le Phare in this case.

Thanks for the info Rob.  The 10AP's in our movement database indicate 15 and 17 jewels, spanning 1926-1927.  Ranfft doesn't list the 10AP, but does have several 10A family listed from mid 20's to early 40's (and later).  Nothing comes up in Dr's movement database when searched for "Le Phares".  NOVA's movement DB notes 10AP for 1926, in both 15 & 17 Jewels.  Don't know what to think about the arrow symbol- looks like a 1937 date code stamp to me.

'off site' databases are most likely are using information gained and provided by MyBulova.

I have no idea what the Arrow is all about as We don't see it in the 1920's.

We do see the Arrow in the 1930's (1937) and in very close proximaty to the Triangle (1935), as mentioned prior. The datecoding of the subject Watch suggests the 10 AP is a 1930's Movement.

* based on the Case Seriel number and admins data 'LONE EAGLE' with a new mvt?

** Late night edit: The Arrow on the subject Watch Movement does indeed look like the Arrow which appears on admins 10AN movement mentioned prior, totally missed that one!

This is a great piece surrounded in mystery and one where MyBulova shines....

Here is an image I caught.

Just another 10 AP until You look at the Dial, which is 'Cut Corner'.

This example is 15 Jewels - Can't make out the datecode.

Fifth, I think that "arrow" symbol shows up on more than one movement picture for the few Lone Eagle CC first 5000 we have in DB, but I have to go look. Maybe it's on Bob's too?

Where are the dial screws on this 10AP? I have one, and it has dial screws protruding through holes on the main bridge/mainspring bridge. The same set-up can be seen on the Ambassador model with the 10AP. The two Conqueror's with 10AP movements do not show these screws on the bridge...and no dial screws are seen between the mainspring bridge (I think there's another name for it but I forgot) and the Train Bridge ( the long, thin bridge coveringt the second and third wheels) as you normally find on the 10AN. So where are they? Certianly not on the side like later movements! I'm baffled. Further, I have a 1926 Conqueror and the dial feet don't feet my 10AP movement....it originally had a 17J 10A movement but I discovered a couple jewels were cracked. I'm just asking....the 10A, 10P, and 10AP are really tough because there's not many of them around and they each seem to be different in one way or another. and not all parts are interchangeable.

Shouldn't the name of the maker be Bulova W Co. for a watch of this presumed age??
