Watch Description

Saphire in crown.   Case 25mm from side to side.   28mm lug end to lug end.  Hinged back case.

Identification would be most appreciated.

EDIT: 2013.02.04  First digit of case serial number changed from 0 (zero) to 6, based on confirmation from Janet.

I think all cases marked American Standard should be entered as such- regardless if they also say Bulova.  Bulova did buy Am Std, or may have owned a good part if not all of it as a subsidary all along?  It appeared to be all theirs (Bulova's) well before 1940, but I dont remember the year now. Early 1930's?   I am betting we don't see any other watch companies housed in Am Std cases after Bulova purchased or took controlling interest as a subsidary.

It would be nice to find out when other companies stopped using AS cases, will try several sources.
