Dear TexasLady, your watch started life as a “6720” and in newspaper ads of December 1924 got two names: Norma on 11 December and Juno on 12 December.   Given that your watch is most likely from before December given the serial number of 139, I would go for “6720”.  Enjoy this antique watch!

Ad from Oct. 1924 - looks to be a match.

(note the printing error: the "2" in number "12" is printed upside down)

Not a 6720, as the 7 would indicate a 17 jewelled movement. Perhaps a 6520 if such a model exists....still need to check.

We have long established that the 2nd number in the model number (9 times out of 10) relates to the jewel count....the first number being the movement size....ie 6PP.

I'm tentative Bulova 6520.

Point taken Stephen; good catch. Ad lists 6720 as 17J and solid gold OR 15J gold plated.

Entirely possible this is the same scenario as variant letter change for a watch listed as (ex.) an "A" in yellow gold "also available in white" with white being a not called out "B".

Tentative 6520 for me as well .

Reviewing this watch with comments made here, I'd like to update this as a 6519, noting the case is gold filled.

I'm good with that. 6519 make sense.

Good catch Stephen.
