Welcome to my Bulova, Cindy.

That should read 'Rubaiyat'.

Possibly a marriage of a Rubaiyat watch and the Lady Maxim. Both are Bulova, so possibly this is a Rubaiyat with a Lady Maxim dial. The cases and styles were similar so putting them together, especially by a watchmaker in order to produce a running watch, would not be difficult. Collectors frown on this, but at the time, the goal was to make an effective repair, especially on watches outside of any warranty.

All Bulova. I would certainly feel confident IDing this as a Lady Maxim.

The Rubaiyat movement could certainly be correct with Bulova using up their stock in the cut over period from Rubaiyat to Lady Maxim, so I have no problem with this configuration what so ever.

1921 Bulova Lady Maxim for me.

Welcome to mybulova, Cindy. I agree that it is all Bulova and likely correct as seen (potential cross-over).

Welcome to myBulova Cindy!  This is a beauty.  There isn't a lot of information or ads available on these early watches.  They were round, square and hexagon shaped cases.  Some of the cases were plain and some with lovely engraving like this one, both equally pretty.  The movement and dials could fit in any of the cases.  Rubaiyat was the earliest and usually would have the Rubaiyat movement and dial.  So that means yours is either a dial replacement or original in a changeover year moving to Lady Maxim.  I will go with the latter.
