Fifth- what does the hand written paper at right in last pics above say?  Did it come with the watch?  Does it corrispond to any personal engravings on the back?

The model name is easy for this one :)  Hudson Maxim     It's the year that will be more challanging.

Do you think the raised Roman numerals are copper?

Wil,

The hand written note reads 'Compliments of Hudson Maxim, Nov 25 1922' and is believed by Historians to be Hudson Maxims signature - the note has no connection to the subject Watch.

43 mm case would classify this as a size 12 in pocketwatch terms, if only we had a movement serial number list from Bulova, maybe we could get close on the date...I would think it might be 1920 or older...Hudson Maxim no doubt...now how to publish it...;-)

Was there a start date for using "Monogram Quality"?  from patent info?  There is an "end date" for the use of "Warrented 25 Years"- I just don't remember when that was.  The stylized serial numbers on the movement....do we see a timeframe in other Bulvoa for this number style?
Mark, if your gonna take this thing apart, would a pic of the keyless help with anything? It sure wouldn't help me any LOL.

Mark, I'm thinking something from the 17A movement series may help with parts.
