While trying to decode all the movement number (see other forum topic), I also started looking at the early model numbers that Bulova used for their ladies watches in 1922 to 1924. Typically these model numbers are a 4 digit number.
Looking at the many movements Bulova used in the early days, al having a serial number, I wondered if there would be a system behind the numbers. After putting the most used ladies movements in a spreadsheet and analyzing them with pivot tables, I found out that there is a system.
When l started collecting early Bulova ladies watches from the art deco period between 1922 and 1930, and got to learn about how to date them, I was surprised to find so few 1927 watches in the two main on-line databases of myBulova and Watchophilia. Of the total 380 ladies watches I could find, including the ones in my own collection, just 16 were from 1927. Looking at men’s watches, the statistics are not different: just 12 watches over a sample that must be almost double the size of the ladies watches.
Hi,
I am sure I am not the first person to ask this one - where can I source Gents straps for the American Clipper and Winston? I am looking for Gents straps with parallel sides rather than Ladies straps which tail off to a point. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

I have a Bulova 'Windsor' 1928.
The 14kt white gold plate case is in need of repolishing. Any recommendations?
(Rouge and loose leaf cotton buffing have little, if any, effect on these types of case).
Re-enamelling/dial refinishing and replacement hands/crown are NOT issues.
Many thanks,

I resently ran accross this model and am thinking about buying it however it is the first one I have seen.
So my question is how collectable is it and how rare is it.
Thanks for the help.

hi,is there any info relating to the grade of the eta movements used by bulova in the super seville thankyou.
I have a pack of 15 advertising cards for the early Accutron watches. Each card measures 5 1/2 x 3 inches. Each one has a four-color picture of a watch on the front, and a description of the watch on the reverse. There is also some boilerplate on the reverse (e.g. "Only the Accutron is guaranteed 99.9977% accurate on your wrist (not just in a test laboratory).") that is the same on all these cards. The descriptions of the watches are different on each card.
