Hello,

I am interested in this A17a on eBay and the serial number is AF-59-13. I’ve. Ever seen a 2 digit serial number before. Is it just a matter of it being early in production? I just want to be sure it’s authentic. Here is the link to the eBay page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

The Spaceview from Accutron

Submitted by JEV1A on February 21, 2021 - 6:28am

Hello all... I just got into my shop a beautiful 214 Accutron Spaceview M6 (1966). The watch had no service for decades. The battery inside was non-conforming (wrong voltage) and once I installed the correct 394 battery and spacer ring, it started to hum. The second hand moved a single revolution and then stopped. The minute and hour hands never moved. I checked the voltage and the coils had reached "end life". I told my client immediately of the failure.

STAR WATCH CASE COMPANY & BULOVA

I came across this 1962 - 23 jewel watch for sale and missed bidding on it. I think this confirms that Star produced production cases for Bulova, and identifies the five pointed stars we see on Bulova marked case backs from the 1950's and 60's as indicating production by Star Watch Case Company for Bulova..

Question: with this information verification, should we be recognizing this when posting watches? Perhaps it's time to make an addition to the identify your watch - case dropdown to reflect this.

Request for information on the 10CPACD movement

Hi everyone, I've been trying to find info on this movement for over a year and have had no luck. I'm trying to find a replacement cannon pinion and hour wheel and was wondering if there was a base model for this movement, like you would find in the Interchangeable Parts Catalog. I read in the thread on this movement that it's related to the 10CPAC and 10COAC, but neither of those are in my 1963 red book. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

Need a part number for second hand

I picked up a nice 23 jewel 10BPAC movement in a steel case.

The second hand is broken and I'm trying to find the correct part number for an old stock second hand.  I've read the archived PDF files but I can't figure out the correct code.

I've included a pic of my watch (first pic) and a pic of a watch with the correct second hand (second pic).
