Hi all,
I need help IDing a watch, but I don't own the watch so I cannot add it to my watches. It is currently for sale in a local shop and I want to buy it, but wanted others' opinions on whether the asking price is fair.
I have available through a good friend the Accutron Vibrograf in working order and just needing paper. The paper is available for $5.78 per roll at Borel and their number is 1-800-776-6858.
Vibrograf stopped using the paper they had been using and stopped using the ribbon and went to this paper that works just great.
He had two of these machines and I bought one and he has offered me the other on as well. The price is $75.00 plus shipping to your location. You can PM me for questions.
I am a new member and most of my vintage wristwatch collection and knowledge is centered on Hamilton and Illinois. I have several Bulova pieces in my collection and my question is about one of the lone eagles. I have one with the more common luminous dial and hands and one with spade hands with an enamel painted dial. I am curious to know is the enamel dial a rare version of this model, because I have never seen another like it.
My wife and I are looking for a Accutron as a gift to her Dad.
Something close to this would be great. Would be happy if it is keeping time but we aren't afraid to do some work on it. If you could help would you please message me.
Thank you
Gerard
Here is a picture of what we are looking for. He likes this one but something close would be good to look at.
Ever wondered where they got the idea for the I-Pod? Well, look no further than this 1967 ad.
Just found my Grandfather's 1965 Date King. I don't remember him ever wearing it, but it needs some servicing. Just wondering what I could expect to pay for the following: crystal replacement or polished, movement cleaned/serviced. Is waterproofing something that gets attention during service?
The watch works, but is probably desparate for cleaning. Any recommendations for a trusted source in Michigan (Saginaw area preferred)?
I now have available the orange lume for those who wish to have me re-lume hands to orange as well as the standard green. I also have some sets of spade hands which will be re-lumed to what ever color the customer wants. PM me for more info.

Well since we're looking. Check some of these out. Pretty neat.

Does any one have a BestFit parts catalog?? I acquired a large lot of BestFit stems and don't have a catalog to identify what watches they might fit. Please PM me if you have one and I will negotiate with you for a copy of it.
