Signed 5x, Dated 2x:  Large curvex and stepped tonneau shaped case measures 40mm lug to lug X 26mm wide non inclusive of the Crown while using Calipers. White Dial shows raised Gilt Arabic numerals and Bulova logo. Hour and Minute Hands are Gilt  Modern style and a Gilt Modern style seconds hand appears on a sub Dial completely obscuring the 6. Tracks are printed Black. Caseback is Stainless Steel. Complete restoration in 2006. Movement totally disassembled and serviced. Dial refinished to original specifications by International Dial Co, New old stock Crystal and Bulova Crown installed. Case is handpolished on a new 1940's vintage flat stiiched Pigskin strap and  finished with a Bulova signed Gold buckle of era. Restored with the aid of Bulova Graduate Watchmaker, Mr. Richard Hostetler Jr of Uniontown PA. Many Thanks Rich!

The BULOVA "KNIGHT," Circa 1938. This has to be one of the RAREST Art Deco Bulova timepieces, from the 1920s to 1940. Noone seems to have even seen this model before??? And ironically, identifyng the crystal was, for once, rather straightforward... since no other 30s/40s Bully is specified in any of the many watch crystal catalogs I have, as taking the same crystal. The bezel window is also VERY unique... as it takes a curved vs. flat around the edge, crystal. Only two Bulova models even use a similar style, with curved glass, or in this size range... This was a befitting "knighting," for a crowned price of the of an era, known as "Art Deco..." (Broadsword hands, and all...) I have several 1938 and 39 vintage ads, and none even illustrate this rare model... I have a Bulova watch left to me by my grandmother it was my great uncles Walter he died in the great Alaskan earthquake in 1964, I do not have any clue the model or year here is the numbers on the back 0142816 dont know the year just plugged one in

ALL ORIGINAL: Rose Gold Filled "Driver's watch" model, 10AK 21 Jewel movement, black stylized Arabic hour markers, cobalt blue hands and sub- second hand at six o' clock. Circa 1942... This fine timepiece is perhaps still for sale on eBay, and was just restored by master watchmaker and eBay UK reseller " el-ooose." I also have over 1500 watch crystals for this and about 200 other Bulova models... My Best :-) William

Original band missing works fine. 23 Jewels

I recently came into posession of this Bulova ladies watch.  The inside back cover has the following inscription:  Bulova American Standard 14k Goldfilled   Pat. June10 1924   8549093.  It probably needs a good cleaning otherwise it looks in very good condition.  I'm wondering if it's worth servicing or if it might be of interest as a collectors' item.  Any information would be appreciated. 

The movement model might be SAP -difficult to make out.  It is a 15 jewel movement.

 Thanks, Bob & Stephen for your input.  I'm still unable to find any marks to indicate the date except for something that looks like a three sided symbol (missing a side that would complete a square symbol) to the left of the screw below the winding screw.  The additional photo shows more of the other inscriptions -  Swiss - Four 4 ADJ. - 52253 - Bulova Watch Co.
