Looking for a date hand for a 1956 Bulova 23 Calendar, 10BPAD

I was incredibly lucky enough to pick up this 1956 23 Calendar yesterday, this watch has been on my bucket list for ages. Unfortunately, the date hand wasn't present. It's not under the crystal or lost in the movement, it's just not there. I removed the movement from the case to learn the dial posts are also missing so the only thing holding the dial in position are the winding stem and the hands. Right now, it's keeping time very well... but I was wondering if anyone might have a date hand for this watch? I'd imagine they're not easy to come by these days.

Hello everyone!  This is my first post on this site, and I look forward to discussing and hopefully being able to contribute to the discussions about this wonderful watch brand!  So the question I have is in regards to Bulova's lume material history, more specifically radium.  In doing some research, a lot of material I read is not overly specific as to when radium was discontinued.  Does anyone know of a specific year of production that Bulova may have stopped using it?  As I have small children in my home, I have made an effort to avoid bringing radium lumed watches into my home, not want

Snorkel "G" and "F" Crown and Winding Stem question.

I have two Bulova Snorkels a 1968 “G” https://mybulova.com/watches/1968-snorkel-11853 and a 1966 “F” that are going in for a movement service once I have all the parts needed to get them back to original. While in the shop and the watches are apart both crystals are being replaced with NOS #383-3AWD Crystals which I just purchased and have in hand. The 1968 Snorkel needs the crown replaced to original stock. The 1966 Snorkel needs a crown and winding stem.

Hello,

I am interested in this A17a on eBay and the serial number is AF-59-13. I’ve. Ever seen a 2 digit serial number before. Is it just a matter of it being early in production? I just want to be sure it’s authentic. Here is the link to the eBay page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

The Spaceview from Accutron

Submitted by JEV1A on February 21, 2021 - 6:28am

Hello all... I just got into my shop a beautiful 214 Accutron Spaceview M6 (1966). The watch had no service for decades. The battery inside was non-conforming (wrong voltage) and once I installed the correct 394 battery and spacer ring, it started to hum. The second hand moved a single revolution and then stopped. The minute and hour hands never moved. I checked the voltage and the coils had reached "end life". I told my client immediately of the failure.
