I would like to have some information about this Bulova Longchamp purchased in 1979.

I would like to know which kind of movement has

During these years the buckle has been lost and I really appreciate if somebody could tell me which kind of buckle did it host in origin.

Moreover, I suspect that the crown is not original, again I would like to know how was it

Many thanks

1959 Sea King gaskets

Hi,

I've been working on restoring two late 1950s Sea Kings (I think).

One of the things I was not able to accomplish is fitting a fresh gasket to case. This is supposed to be a waterproof watch, but when I first cracked open the case I had to remove the old gaskets because they were deteriorated beyond use. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any NOS gaskets for this watch, and none of the flat gaskets I have in my assortment package from Otto Frei come close to fitting (all too wide plus too small or too large diameter).

11ALCD movement

1967 11ALCD movement. Was it possible to set the date on this movement without having to spin the hour hand 24 hours, in other words, a crown that pulled half way out for date and then full out for time ?

I can't find a data sheet or parts list for this movement, is there a good repository somewhere ?

1950s era watch back case openers

Hi

I've gotten into restoring and repairing 1950s era Bulova (and Gruen and Wittnauers).

One issue that I keep coming across is how to open/close screw on (ring type) case backs.

Did Bulova make a specific tool for this? If not, what generic tool do you use?

I've included two examples of the kind of case back I'm referring to.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Levine98

14K Rose Gold Basketweave

Hi, I purchased what I believe is a 1946 Bulova rose gold Tuxedo. My father had a similar watch but I am looking for around 3/4" of the rose gold basketweave in 14K gold in order to extend it to 7 1/2". I was able to get an extender from a local jewelry store but I've seen searching and the best that I can find is a gf band. I'm looking to see if anyone has a "hunk" of this to sell. Thank you, John.

Help Needed! Lunar Pilot question.

I've exhausted all other options, so I am trying to see if this group can help. I purchased a Lunar Pilot about a year ago. A month ago, the sweeping second hand started ticking instead of sweeping. I changed the battery. Same thing. Bulova support was no help. Does anyone know why this has happened?  The sweeping hand was a key reason I bought this watch.
