yep I had snipped these at $75.66 - which would have been a great deal, and what I'm willing to chance on this day/listing. Why that exact amount? Who knows- i had to enter something. Glad it went to a good owner. I try for some of these, knowing I can get something more "known" for a little more. Not necessarily wanting the watch, but the potential new info we gain from the sleeper under the radar. Many folks here have good "radar"! Like admin down under, I can't get to flea markets, estate sales or thrift stores except on Oahu, and I frequent these often- along w/ the other three Bulova watch collectors on Oahu. ...so I bid/snipe/buy on line, check out what I get- glean any new/useful info, and often resale at a loss monetarily but w/ a gain in the info department. This is why my wife has repeatedly said "...don't do this to make money- we can't afford to lose anymore". She is usually right, and I always listen and usually follow her advise.

11 years 11 monthsWell then i must keep my eye open for this watch. As i collect these to collect them. And i wear them also but in the end i must admit they are an investment. I try to get them cheap and hope in the long run it will pay off. Thank god winter is over and the flea markets are gearing up for what i hope is a good season of Bulova hunting. Cant wait till Aug. so the wife and i can hit the 127 endless yardsale again. We did it last year and had such a great time hunting for treasures. This sale is the mother of all sales it runs on hwy 127 from Michigan to Alabama. we went into Tennessee last year and turned around and slowly made our way back to Michigan. It has its own web site check it out it's called the 127 endless yard sale here is a link.http://www.127sale.com/

No problem at all Bobbee... I can't tell you how many times I've been outbid or done the same to others on this site. We're all on the hunt! You seriously got a GREAT deal on that President. That is one of favorite watches of that era.
Hopefully you'll catch the Bulova bug now! Haha... I'd be proud to lose another auction to you in the future sir!

12 years 11 monthsJust for info purposes to help you on your search Jim... here's one that passed through me last year. The gentlemen that got it from me had been looking for one for years to replace one stolen from him. It's a beautiful watch and sports a really non-typical case.
