I've searched and can't positively identify

Submitted by rka976 on March 13, 2012 - 2:25pm

I have gone through the pages of watches with the 7AK movement.  The movment has a "48" stamp on it.  I cannot seem to find a case that has matching lugs and scalloping on the side.  I've come across a double "scallop" design, but not the single that is pictured.  The watch also has 14k Yellow Gold case.  Please help as I am trying to help a customer of mine identify and determine the value of this watch.  Thanks.

Thanks so much.  Any idea on value?  It is working and keeps pretty good time.

The site doesn't address valuations.  Sorry  You may check completed listings on eBay or maybe check the price guide to complete watches for a general idea of value.

Would love to see your watch added to the database. Under Home menu item there is 'Add a watch' just follow the instructions and fill out as much info as you can.

Bob,

Counting the 'bumps' on the Bezel verticles the subject has one, which matches the image in the vintage ad, Your Watch has 5. The subject Watch is also solid 14k as described in the ad.
