Looking for a couple bracelets Astronaut Mark II and Oceanographer V

Submitted by M_L on June 4, 2020 - 11:03am

Greetings,

I have a 1970 Gold Plated Accutron Astronaut Mark II it is currently on an expandable bracelet that work but I would prefer to have something closer to the original on it coffin link would be great but those seem to be listed for quite a lot of money on eBay.  Any suggestions welcome.  No need to be NOS but would like to find one without heavy plate wear.

I am also looking for a bracelet for an Oceanographer V from 1971.  It does not have to be perfect or NOS although new reproductions are probably fine as I just want it to be wearable, if there are beads of rice bracelets for this model I might prefer that.

Hi ML - this is a pretty tall order. Both these watches had bracelets that were very unique to the watches they came along with. My first suggestion is always online auction sites. Use key word searches that include the lug spacing (in mm) and either Bulova or Accutron names OR just the names of the companies that made them, usually JB, Champion or Kreisler. You might find certain sellers on eBay that specialize but you already know that they will not be cheap. Remember, you might find something close without the Bulova brand name or Accutron name/symbol. Be prepared to spend some money, it might be worth it.  Best wishes - I hope you find what you're searching for!

Thanks Geoff.  That was the answer I suspected was likely but I was hoping for other options.  I would like to have the correct bracelets for both however the prices I am finding generally exceed what I payed for the watches.  Just have to keep searching and hope to catch one.  Thanks for the searching tips as well.
